I'll be there with the top down, just sorry it's not a COBRA!
I'm assuming significant others are invited? My wife agreed to join me, I was surprised. She said "sounds like fun". Ok, so nobody talk about how much money they spent recently. (I don't want to have to explain (or lie).

Looking forward to seeing / hearing all the cars in the sun! Shine 'em up boys! :D

btw, I heard Mark's engine is in!

Since this one is in the Public area, I will post this info:

All are invited to our first Snake & Eggs this Saturday 4/25/09 at The original Pancake House in Chesterfield Valley (17000 Chesterfield Airport Road Chesterfield , MO 63005 636-536-4044). Join us at 9am for breakfast - and then an impromptu cruise following. There is ample parking. The building is next to Taco Bell, in front of Dick's Sporting Goods - it looks like a log cabin. Best to take 40/64 to the Boone's Crossing exit, Go South, then turn Left (East). The pancake house is located on the right. See you then.

Of course wives are invited. Mine is really looking forward to the breakfast more so than the cruise I think :D Rain or shine. If raining, bring your hardtopped cars:D

Tim I think Mark would just drive straight thru the rain laughing his ass off. Nothing is going to stop him from driving this weekend.

Isn't that fancy Lexus 2-seater of your wife's an auto...heck, just let Ter Bear do the driving! ;)

I wish I could join you guys too...but that would put us in for the longest commute to the breakfast...heck if I left know...would be there by 6:00 am

Miss you guys - Scotty

4:35, just back from Hermann and ShelbyFest (or mustang fest). Made it back guys with only using a tablespoon of brake fluid. Man is my head and forehead burnt  Feels good to be home. Thanks for following me the whole way Mike W. Great day, but too many Harley cruisers (42 mph on 94 ) on Hwy 94. I like the way Andy and Jess ride :D Mark and Mike took pics, I'm sure you will see them soon. And breakfast, WOW, it was fantastic. If you've never been to the Original Pancake House, you owe it yourself to go there. Dave/Dan/Scotty - wish you coulda been there. Started with 9 Cobra's, ended up with 6 in Hermann. Apparently Gary and Skip had Honey Do's to do :D

Man Oh Man am I jealous. Wish I could have been there with you guys. TerBer drove my 57 up to Carlinville, IL for me today to Scheldt bros. auto body. My buddy Fred is gonna do some cosmetic things for me. I followed Ter in the Van. Wish I could've been with you guys. How is Marky Mark doing? Is he happy? How is the Blue pig running? Sounds like his beast has a nickname that is sticking. :D I like it.

Mark and Madison came home long enough to grab a drink, change clothes, and back out the door. Tom tell Linda thank you so much for the sunscreen. Had to slather her up again before they left around 4:30 tonight.

Blue pig ran well, he seemed quite happy, as did Madison, that it was running again. Dave, at least you got out today, even if it was in a van :D BBG - I found the sunblock too late, and I now look like a sunburned raccoon. Linda wanted to get burnt  did and now is red in places :D What a day. Missed ya Lisa! Madison filled in admireably though.

Bruce (and others) if you read this - You remember the gentleman I was speaking to from the Corvette Club? Bob Kunz? Turns out he owns Bob Kunz Automotive and apparently specializes in rebuilding classic Corvette Carbs (DAVE!) That's where I had heard/seen his name before.

For those of you that weren't there - The Corvette Club was across the street from the Pancake House (at the car museum lot) and several of their members came over to look at the 9 Cobra's on the lot. I began talking to Bob Kunz about the cars. He had questions about the Cobra kits and which one I would suggest. (No, I won't tell you what I said...) I took him over to my car which was next to Mark's and Bruce's. Explained the differences, and how much a typical kit could cost (I told him about $30 - $35k) He said he always wanted one, so I let him sit in mine. He really seemed to like it. Wondered if it was for sale, I told him for the right price, he said he had his checkbook  He ended up offering me a trade for a '64 Ford with a 390 in it.....hmmmm ah, no. So, we leave, and I'm expecting to get on the highway towards Washington. Tom K leads us through the den of the "enemy". You should have seen all the Vette heads rushing over to line the drive where the parade of Cobra's was. I was asked to "turn 'em over a bit" (by Bob K), I didn't have a choice but to oblige. :D Got several thumbs up and smiles from the Vette club. Not a single classic in the bunch though. Cool site. Ok, stories by others.....

I ate too much and then had the honey do list. They messed up Gary and My order and somehow I ended up eating two servings of Scrambled eggs. Had a great time seeing everyone. Sorry I missed out on the fun trip, but I needed to get these things done so I can have fun with you guys next time. I'm looking forward to the lake trip. Sounds like Randy is just around the corner from going for his inspection. That's going to be a nother beast on the road. I ended up taking the girls out on some short trips today and went and picked up three bags of fertilizer in the cobra. I bet no ones done that before.

Thanks for the story. Loved hearing it. I don't care much for Bob. I don't trust him either. He is EXTREMELY well respected for his knowledge of carburetors. He has had articles published in Classic Chevy Magazine & knows his stuff. IF he still lives in the same house, he had his carb shop in his basement & it wreaked of carb cleaner fumes & vintage high dollar carb merchandise was EVERYWHERE. If you go to swap meets you'll almost always see Bob there with or without a booth. If he has stuff for sale you won't get it cheap. He buys low & sells high. Interesting character. Caveat Emptor

Snake & Eggs was BIG FUN ! Just the right length, good food, close friends, and no tow trucks. I put about 120 miles on the car today with you guys, and then another 80+ miles after. I took it easy on B.P. all day, and it ran like a Swiss watch.

Madison gets the award for Injured But Loving It. She was pretty burned. Totally my fault. Thanks to Dr. Linda for hooking us up. I'll make sure to handle this next time. She had a blast. Dan - hopefully Ashley can make the next one.

The Furthest Distance Award goes to Bruce as always. One of these days you can make a second post on the website, but as long as you keep showing up we'll all be happy you're here.

The Hero Award goes to Tim for not letting is lack of brakes prevent him and Linda from having fun. I'm not sure I would have been that brave.

The Cat Out of the Bag Award goes to Tom because his new heads have really woke that car up. I know he has always been low-key about his car (which has always been impressive) - But you can't hide it anymore. That thing is a monster with cat-like handling. He was behind me at one point in Washington at the same time the local PD was coming down the road with lights and sirens. I swear I don't know which was louder the sirens or his supercharger. You just know you're about to get your hat handed to you - when you hear the sweet wirring coming up from behind you.

Steve gets the Adult Restraint award for not thrashing past those bikers that we always seemed to get behind. I'm not sure I would have been that patient, so I'm glad he was leading the troop today.

The Scary Moment Award goes to anyone that was in front of Mike Woodard at any given point in the day. Everytime Mike's car went from 1st to second and I heard those tires chirp and I thought LOOKOUT - he's going to blast right through me.

The Missed Opportunity Award goes to all of us for not offering Mark P's wife a ride today. From my experience, one ride and she would be ordering the car for him. Mark please bring her again - we'll make sure there are seats for you both. Missed you guys today.

Skip, Dan and Gary - TCB Award - well see you next time. Mike Shepard gets the Spirit Award for hanging in the Mazda. Hopefully you can get plates soon and join in paint or no paint.

Finally, for Randy - let's give him the Come On An Light This Candle Award. Pulling away on one more cruise waving to Randy in the distance hurts my heart. I know that you may be a little hesitant to launch into a 100+ mile day right off the top. So, once you get those plates, if you wanna take a few short "round the block trips" with a wingman - give me a call - seriously - just need an excuse sometimes to get out of the office. Round the block for me - is Hwy 100 to Fox Creek, down to Six Flags across Eureka, up Hwy. 109 then to your place. It's a good mix of slow twisties, and some highway speeds.

Thanks to all - what a nice day. Let's try this again.
Cheers!

Cool Cool Cool guys!
I had a blast at breakfast and my wife really enjoyed it too!:D
Tom & Linda and his son Andy & his wife were great breakfast company.
Everbody was super nice, my wife enjoyed meeting the good folks, the cars looked & sounded GREAT!
I'll try to post the pictures, but I think my camera died so I was only able to get a few snapshots.

Sorry I couldn't join you on the cruise, my daughter had an early Dance Recital to attend.

Mark, I told my wife that you suggested she take a ride and she said cool! (I said I was envious, because I haven't had a ride yet!! hint hint hint

MPT - REALLY?! You haven't ridden in one yet? Aww man, I am so sorry. Nothing I like better than to give people rides. Tell Ann you both need to come to the next meeting at Sonic, you will BOTH get rides. :Dhttp://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q234/Hawgwild06/Smilies/icon_redface.gif

We really enjoyed the whole day. Great to see cars out again and the smiling faces that go with them. The Pancake house did a nice job of getting us all seated and we enjoyed breakfast with Ann & Mark. Cruise legs were tempered by slower drivers and bikers at times but it was great just to be out again. So nice to see the Blue Pig running strong again and a smile on our fearless leaders face. The Ranger at Klondike park really seemed delighted to have us, it's always fun to see someone get excited when the group pulls in somewhere. Steve led us back from Hermann at a good pace. We never stopped until we got to 44 and made it home in 45 minutes flat. Sunscreen early next time, I'll be peeling soon :D.
