Grabbed this pic off of Club Cobra. Looks like F5R has improved their mold?

Look how shiney it is and how narrow the seams appear to be now. I don't remember Scotts' looking this shiney and his seams were about the width of my fingers.

Mine didn't shine (a dull gray) but it did have fairly small seams. I think it has to do with the age of the molds, they can only turn out so many before they need to be replaced and FFR, like many other molders likes to amortize them over as long a period as possible. That one looks real nice!

Looks about the same as mine. I've had many people comment how much better the molds (I.e. seams) are on the body I received versus the older ones.

Mine looked about the same. My seams seemed a little more sloppy, but the appearance was about the same.

mine was in excellant shape not much wax to clean out, Scott are you going to work ur body yourself, not that hard i spent a day doing body prep. Napa has lots of good polyester fills and wax remover only used about 1/2 of the quart i bought removing the wax,and wiping the car down, got the cut-outs all done and the first sand prep done minus misc. contours;)
i really do not like the way the tail-lights fit the body i plan to adapt a bezel under them.
we will be putting the body on temporary for some more fitting and dash install.
Scott what tires did u end up getting on those nice wheels, glad i went 15" because no-one is getting there 17" Halibrands "back-order city i hear"

Leo -
The plan was originally do some of my own body work, then my wife said no...now I am thinking since my body work money is not available, that I may continue with panel fitting, seam prep and who knows? Or I may just drive it as is for the summer and deal with it this winter. Honestly I have lost some interest in the project with all of the moving we have done lately (twice) and now the new job and new home remodeling projects. I don't think there will be much time this summer to worry about it.
My tires are Sumitomo HTZ-III 255/45 R 17's (front) on 9" rims, and 275/40 R 17's on 10.5 rims for the rear. The look nice and ride nice from what I can tell so far.

Here's what mine looked like for the first year / 5,000 miles. Get your tags and enjoy some "shakedown" miles while the paint funds have some time to recover and you get some renewed energy from open air driving :)

thats great Scott and Tom plan on the same, I must be in the tradition of my buddy with his Rat-rod. U know its not the first impretion that counts with a car its the personality that brings it about. Mine will be primer for a bit but when i get into the finnesse part of it, it will rock and roll.....just like music, there are only 2 types of music rock and roll;)well old rockn'roll:D and i hope ur job Scott works for ya! me i have been sittin' with no work for almost 3 weeks and this winter sucked but got alot done on the car, but the trips to the auto-parts have got alot less " Family comes first " but i have been this road before. the life of working in the trades...................................
