gas or diesel:D some say no substitution for cubic inches but Small blocks can achieve
a very wicked horse-power. Me i prefer old iron..........
like an old Hemi 392
or the 427 cammer
still a Ford fan and sbf can rule if done correctly, no nose weight as the BBF:rolleyes:
and i am not saying anyone with a BBF has a big nose:p
but whose the expert? maybe the one that answers it after they researched on the intRO-Nets:eek:

My question has to do with how can you achieve the most cubic inches from various big blocks? For example What is the maximum # of cubic inches that can be said to be achieved after modifying a 454 chevy, a 460 ford, etc. & how is it done/achieved?

Bore - limited by the thickness of the block and cylinder walls.
Stroke - the length of the piston travel.
There are specific limits to each for each style of block.

Or the one at the bottom of this page, which is 892 cu. in. That's right, about the same as three x 302's!
Whoa!
