Hi Patricia.
Tell us about yourself. Are going to be able to make it to our meeting next week? Do you have a Cobra?
Welcome to the Club.

I think I have "found" your patricia, this was in my inbox:
Hi,
I'm new here, how's it going?
"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural & spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things as a meaningful unity" - Albert Einstein

I already got myself in trouble with this new member thing, once before, so I'm going to take Hollywood's advice and "Shut up and drive." :D Yeah and if you can believe that one I'll sell you a bridge in London for a reasonable price as a used car salesman or slimey lawyer would say.

Just someone that has too much time on their hands. They actually go through the registration process (it's automated but you have to manually enter various text - so that a real spammer can't set their computer auto register on any forum). Anyway, they manually register - and as a forum member they have the same access as any other member. So - be warned - there are people out there everyday can can view our site with and without registering - so make sure to NOT put personal data like phone numbers, addresses, etc - on this forum.
We will generate a membership list, and distribute it at the appropriate time.

The spammers use Web-Bots to do the registration. They read the code and programatically enter the appropriate info.
A trick I learned is to change some of the names of the fields the info in entered into. When the program sees the field "Name" it enters the name "Patricia" If it saw a field with identified as "niem", it wouldn't know what to do with it. But a human could sort it out.
The only drawback to this is the coder doing the page has to do some thinking and use the modified field names in the appropriate places. Asking a programmer to think can be problematic :D
