Thats a REALLY nice Vette....However the door panels need to be redone. A lot of good ideas in the photos.

My best friend Paul Krewet had the same year that I was driving when I hit a deer at Babler Park in 1972...:(

Neat Vette for sure. I guess that's the problem with some of the resto-mods. At some point you build them far beyond their resale value.

OUCH! Tell us about your buddy's vette & how bad the crash was. How bout the whole story short version. :D

I was just back from VN and Paul was back from Korea as a Chinook CH-37 Pilot. He had a sky Blue 57 that he had just bought and wanted me to drive. At the time he lived near Old Eatherton Road. I was driving and he was riding shotgun about a 1/2 mile east of the Babler Park entrance when a doe came up out of the left ditch and into our path. I swerved to try to miss her and hit the brakes but still clipped her in the hindquarters knocking her down into the right side ditch. We stopped and she got back up and ran off while we looked for damage to the right front fender. All we found was deer saliva and hair on the car. Nothing broken...no paint chips or stress cracks...yet we hit her pretty hard.

We were both VERY relieved. Paul later traded the car in for a Yellow 73 T Top Vette.
