Another Idea - I'd like to work with Clyde (and the St. Louis Street Rods) to set up a St. Louis Power tour this summer. It would take some planning - but we may be able to get some other clubs involved - and maybe some radio support or even some sponsorship.
The way it would work is a group would start off early in the morning at a particular location - like Mid Rivers Mall. We hang there for an hour or so as the group gathers. Then at the appointed time - we leave for the next point - say CFD Mall - hang there for a while while a few more participants join up, then head to the next rally point - SoCo Mall, pick up a few more, then to the next point downtown, or Illinois, etc. It's an all day rolling, growing, parking, driving Car Show.
It doesn't have to be Malls, could just as easily be say Ford dealerships, or McDonalds, or anywhere. We could get many other clubs involved, and boost/promote the RNG show at the same time. It could be an annual event - and a highlight for the entire St. Louis car scene.
Point being - we need to make the RNG a big event. This is our club's primary funding tool, and we need to promote it, and make our presence in STL known to all. Anyway - the ST. LOUIS POWER TOUR could be an excellent promotional vehicle. Any thoughts?
