Looking for everyones suggestions on cock pit ventilation. Are tunnel vents going to be enough or will the powered vents be the wiser choice. Any other alternatives?
Getting ready to test fit body here shortly, looking to button everything up.
Anyone running seat heaters? Type? Worthwhile?

I put them into my car and I believe the fans are definitely needed. Even at speed, the air movement without the fan is minimal. I went overboard on insulating the firewall, knowing the issues everyone has with heat in the footbox. That is strongly suggested. I bought mine on eBay for about $20 each. Switches came from Radio Shack.
My firewall is (from outside to inside) aluminum firewall skin:Kevlar heat shield:1/8" duct foam/aluminum foil:fiberglass footbox:3/16" heat shield foam:Aluminum foil:carpet. Maybe overkill but footbox heat hasn't been an issue
Regarding the seat heaters, these are also a definite yes. On our last run down thru southern Illinois, the temp was in the low 40's. The seat heaters kept my bride comfortable. I think unless you make a definite goal to make the passenger cozy, you'll be spending a lot of time in the car by yourself. (But then again, that may be your goal  ) The $70-100 you'll spend on the seat heaters is money well spent.
Posted a couple pictures of my setup. Mounted the blowers high over the wheel so they couldn't be hit by the tire when it was turning or articulating. I installed mine intakes into the nose like the originals were done. The vents are ones I make and supply to Forte's. They are duplicates of the originals also.

Paul, do you sell the vents as well or only thru Fortes? I like the side vent idea vs the brake duct.I do have some clearance issues on the drivers side with hydroboost lines but think it will all clear.
What other parts do you have available.
Happy birthday as well!!

I put vents in the transmission tunnel, no power, and they work very well. Seems the low pressure under the car keeps the air moving.

Paul, if you have a better solution, I'd be very interested in it. Not ready yet, but it is something I want to do when the time comes.

I have been making two different items for the Cobra community. Mostly going to the Hurricane factory, just before Christmas, Mike Forte contacted me about carrying them thru his store.
Those who are familiar with the reservoirs, to be period correct, you need two taller cannisters and one shorter one. The taller ones are not readily available. What few do exist are VERY expensive. The kit I have is three cans and the mounting brackets. They go for 149.95 Mike has them at $160 and I don't advertise so I won't undercut him.
For the vents, I searched high and low looking for period correct and found they are not available. I purchased tooling and began making them. Again, the operative word is PERIOD CORRECT. You can buy cheaper ones from Cobra Earls or use other methods. If you want them to look like the originals, my kit is $225 vs Kirkham or Cobra Restorers for nearly $1,000. If you need the hoses or the flanges for mounting to the nose, as the originals were done, I have that also. I also have a set of fiberglass ducts that were used on the originals to duct air thru the brake vent openings on the front of the car.
I've attached some photos I sent to Mike to give everyone an idea of what they look like. I try to keep a couple sets in inventory at all times.
FYI. if you'd like to see them, I have both on my car

Here's a link for heated seats Keith: http://www.cobraheat.com/warmseats.html or you can do what I did, two twelve volt accessory plugs, one on each side & two 12 volt electric blankets. I like to sit on my blanket. Keeps me nice & toasty warm. :D

I also installed the heated seats, from the link. My wife loves them.
