Ok, I had posted a message over at the Gateway FFROG forum and got a few responses there too. I had proposed to Mark to meet at the Citgo gas station on Hwy 94 just NORTH of I-70 around 8:30 - 9am. We can then caravan to the show from there and hopefully park together. It appears 2 members over at GFFROG will be there too. So far I know:
Me
Mark
Mike
Dave
Steve Brannan - GFFROG
Steve Morrow - GFFROG

Anyone else going? Let us know so we can "save" spots

We will be there as spectators...but have to make a stop first at HF.

Should be there before noon.

Be sure to bring plenty of car show fliers to hand out!!!

Guys, the Citgo is now a Z/X gas station. After you exit I70 West on to First Capital Drive/Hwy 94, go North (Right for you Dave), and it's about 1/2 mile up on the Right. See you there Sunday around 8:30?

K&K - Just stopped by HF to get some welding and sheet metal bending tools...hope I left some stuff for you Kerry!

Michelle, Liam and I are planning to come by and say hi to you all tomorrow, what time is the 'show' again, for those not display an entry car? Do they have any accomodations there for BBQ on grilles? We thought it would be fun to roast some weiners (and no not the four legged dog variety).

Due to our fine weather, my boys will be playing makeup baseball games tomorrow. I won't be able to make the show. Have fun and someone please bring home some hardware.

David - we'll try to save you a spot - if you want - call my cell as you're getting close - and we'll attempt to make some arrangements.

Mike you will be missed - if anyone has a chance of bringing home the hardware - it's you.
Have a good day with the kids.

Tim - I'll see you just before 9am at the ZX Gas station. My whole family will be in tow - gonna be a great day.

Scott, not sure about grills on site. It is a park, so you would think it would. The part I've been to has a waterpark (small one) and baseball fields. I'm assuming that is where the show will be. Most shows they have food on site. See you there.

I had to bug out early, but got home and just uploaded some photos I took at the show. Count em folks...7 Cobra's - 3 representing GCC (maybe a 4th if you count Gary), and the other 4 were from the Gateway FFROG. Mark, Chuck and Dave were passing out fliers, and trying to convert these guys over. I saw Clyde and some of his family, K&K made it from Farmington, and Orlando made an appearance with his daughter.

Great to see everyone, and the weather was just beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a nicer day in mid-July in St. Louis!

The following photo is a great example of a Factory Five "donor car". But, I didn't have the heart or the guts to ask this guy how much he wanted for his "donor".

Dave,

I would love to take credit for passing out the fliers, but I sub-contracted it to my son, Brendan. He did a great job and said he had a ton of fun!!

Great to see everyone en masse!!!

As much as I like dogs, if I caught a little roadent dog like that peeing on my wheels it would be BBQ time...

Great seeing everyone and meeting new member Steve and son Josh. Josh is going to Ranken Tech to be a future GCC mechanic.(?) If you didn't make it to this show, you missed 440 of the best cars in the lou. I didn't see half of them, got sidetracked, talking and drooling over certain cars. Thanks to Gary and Clyde (or Mark) for bringing the canopies for shade. I still have raccoon eyes from my sunburn around my sunglasses. :D We had a good showing for a new club, I mean great showing. I have many fliers for upcoming shows, and will post on the calendar when I can.

Thanks everyone - what a fantastic day. My first full car show - what an experience. Learned a lot. Hardware next time - I guess. Clyde - I have your 1st place trophy and I promise to return it someday! :D. I completely forgot to pick up the 2nd place trophy for Steve/Josh - but I can make you a good deal on a first place trophy if you prefer.:D

Thanks to all for the turn out today. Lots of ideas and things to think about for the club. Met lots of new guys and interested folks. I'll post some pictures to my gallery later. Between me, Tim & Scott we got some great shots for a pamphlet. Anyway - Thanks everyone.

Mark,

I shot my photos at the highest resolution my camera would take yesterday (3 MP). If you would like these (I only took a few) I can email them to you...tonight. I downloaded them to the computer at home and then uploaded to photobucket - where I changed the resolution to view on the forum.
