Ever hear of them? Me either, but I bet you've heard of K&N. I found out this company makes the K&N filter, but at half the price. Found them at Old Dog's, looked it over, and sure enough, it is constructed exactly like the K&N. http://performanceparts.com/

There a a lot of other intake systems similiar to the K&N. This company sells several(they are not mfg). So does JEGS,Summit, Speedway and on and on. Just a mattter of preference...do you want to pay for all the advertising? I purchased a system(AFE) for my F-350 years ago...performs just as well as the K&N on my son-in-laws Chebby 1500.

Mike, the AFE system, how did it help your son's chevy? Been thinking about doing something like that to the Avalanche.

I put the AFE system on my F-350 with the 7.3...also use a Superchip and have the exhaust opened up to 4" straight thru...got 20% bettter mileage and wads of power to pull 28' gooseneck that we overload constantly....used to get 7-1/2 to 8 mpg loaded,,,now get 11+.
Pulling my 24' vnose car hauler down to the Pigs tail I got 13.5 thru the hills of Misery running 75+ when I could.

My son-in-law put the K&N on his 5.7 . He hasn't remarked how the power is...had in on for several years.
