Cool thread! Love the grill. There's some really neat stuff out there. Those things must be really rare. Off topic a little bit, but what do U guys think of the "rat rod" craze? I like it. Saw a neat one @ the K-She show & saw some neat ones in Indy @ Good Guys. Didn't like the guy who had 3 tigers all over his GTO @ CAB the other day tho. Now I'm really gettn off topic.

Been a while. I've always heard a lot about this car, how fast it is and so on. I like the story about Elvis. He owned a Pantera and shot it when it wouldn't start :-) On Wikipedia here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Tomaso_Pantera or here - http://panteracars.com/

Also in the story that I did not know is the Shelby drove a Sebring Vette - those were bada55 cars.

I receive a magazine called Hemmings Muscle Machines. There was an article about a car that came about much like the AC Cobra did. Check these links out:

The Griffith is an awesome car. I think I've only seen one example with a Griffith name plate but TVR's were common at tracks and on the street in the 80's. Today's TVR still has the essence of the early ones http://www.christianguitar.org/forums/attachments/89608d1241710572-tvr_tusc.jpg

Getting away from the norm here. When at Putnam, this car flashed by me a few times. and I thought to myself, man, his exhaust is louder than mine! This is a streetable race car as well and I didn't know it had been around for 37 years - http://www.gtrnissanskyline.com/index.html
I also had the misconception that this car could not be sold in the U.S. due to emissions laws and such, wrong again Poindexter - http://www.nissanusa.com/gt-r/#
See some of the specs - http://www.nissanusa.com/gt-r/specifications.html
Notice the power to weight ratio? May not want to test this one if it's beside you at a stoplight. :D

Not scared.
Drove past one on 270 last year.
They use a launch control system.
Supposedly it burns up transmissions.
They are also not allowed to re-sell the car for 2 years - weird.
BTW - after you put on your track tires - was he still driving by you?
