Don't think our cars would act as a ramp, but just a reminder of what can happen....

Another reminder:

A couple of things I noticed:
- The license plate comes flying in to the cockpit - maybe I'll take mine off from now on.
- The trunk goes flying open - bungee down like they did originally
- Arms are flailing everywhere - invest in arm restraints
- Neck goes back and forth violently - invest in neck support (Steve?)
- Driver survived :D

I can't hardly watch that.

Apparently - some front suspension parts came loose, or broke - sending the car into a roll. We do 130 on our cruises from time to time - so what I will be doing this spring is have a pro go over every nut and bolt and part under my car. Can you imagine if that happened on a public road? It would have been much much worse.

Roll bar did it's job...and frame provided protection for the driver.

Probably the best endorsement F5 could get for frame integrity and design. Especially since this is a street frame and not a challenge series frame.

A very lucky man.

Would like to know if and where the source of suspension failure is determined.

He has since reported that the roll bar didn't even have a scratch on it indicating that it never touched....

I don't think it was a F5, he commented on it having BMW front control arms, maybe Backdraft.
Crazy ride though!!

At the Gateway drag strip they told me I had to have arm restraints. I never wore them on the road course but should have.

I have the "horse collar" style neck brace which I do wear on the road course.
