I noticed on my GCC Calendar that Easter is much later in 2009. April 12th to be exact. I talked to Clyde about the show this year. His (other) club puts on that show - and does a fantastic job. They are expecting better weather (snowed last year) and larger crowds. I showed my car there last year (how I met Orlando) and I plan on going this year too.

It's starts early but that's OK. Lasts all day. They have the lower lot with Clydes group (Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, etc.) and then the upper lot is for the classic vehicles. So, a bunch of great cars, a nice venue, food and drinks for sale, an STL tradition, and overall a great day.

Clyde said he could reserve spots for us - I said let's reserve 5.

So - April 12th for you guys doing mods - what do you guys think?

How many are interested? Does this call for the club tent set-up and banner?

I will bring entry applications to the meeting on the 11th. Tom and I will rope off spots for the GCC guys. It will be very crowded this year due to being held in April. I encourage everyone to arrive early.

Thanks,
Clyde

I am in! I can't wait for the season to start up again. This will be the first year my engine isn't on the floor next to what ever is left of my car waiting for repairs!:D

See you guys at Fast Lane!

No more tease. Looks like I am being out voted. I was hoping to bring a 2nd cobra that was going to be raffled off at the Dragon Nationals. It now looks like the club is going to go for an economy car.:mad:

The club went for an 09 Challenger. I wanted to sell raffle tickets for a Cobra at the Easter show, but oh well. Can't really blame them though, the car was bought for 22k!

Would have sold a lot more though if you had a Roadster. I'll bet the Challenger is a V-6, a Dodge without support for the warranty in the next year or so.

I fully agree. That is why I was having such a tough time. They chose the Challenger because it was 6k cheaper. It is a v-6 and an automatic. I tried to explain the 500 to 1000 additional tickets sold at $30 each MIGHT have made up for the 6k.
