• November 2015 Car of the Month

This months car belongs to Randy Hauser. This is a Unique Motorcars 427 kit and Randy took delivery around May of 2008. Randy says he has always loved muscle cars, but especially the Cobra. It took Randy a little over a year for the build, paint, and license. Merrill in Washington shot the paint, and Southern Automotive provided the power plant.

The engine is a a Ford FE stroked and bored to 452 with a Toploader transmission. The last dyno had 430 hp. at the tires!

First start was January of 2009, which seemed to make Randy pretty happy :-)

Randy and his Wife Terri have been on a few of our cruises, but with 15 Grandkids, you can understand where most of his time goes. Randy grew up in St. Louis, graduated high school in 1966 (Pattonville) and college (UMSL) in 1970. He received a private pilots license in 1967 and was commissioned in 1970 (AFROTC Washington University). After pilot training he was assigned a position as an instructor pilot in the T-38 Talon. He separated in January of '75 and was hired by Ozark Air Lines. Due to mergers he flew for TWA and American Airlines for a total of 33 years and retired in 2008.

Great looking car Randy, and hopefully you can get out with the club more next year as we always enjoy a visit to your garage :-)
