Default THE first cobra "chassis" for sale in Bring-A-Trailer

    Interesting story, beautiful car (now):
This 1964 AC Cobra was originally built as a show chassis for Shelby American in order to showcase the model’s underpinnings. It was sent in 1965 to Cal Automotive, a Shelby subcontractor, where a Ford T-bucket body was installed. The car was then registered for street use, and later in the mid-1990s was fitted with a hand-formed aluminum Cobra body by Kimmins Custom Fabrication of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
There's some debate if this qualifies as an actual Shelby Cobra and the motor/drivetrain and body (although it is aluminum) are not original. It was also originally RHD and converted to LHD, so the value is significantly downgraded.
